Transmission Safety Tips
- Change your fluid regularly. Not changing your fluid according
to the stipulations in your owner's manual can lead to transmission

- Check the ground for transmission fluid leaks.
- Make sure the fluid does not smell and is not burnt.
- Check to see if there are obstructions near the radiator
and air ducts.
- Don't use overdrive in hilly and mountainous terrain.
General Maintenance and Safety Tips
- Check all your hoses and belts regularly, if they are cracked,
dry-rotted, worn, or bulging, replace them.
- Look under the car for leaks other than transmission fluid.
- Check your vehicle's tires for wear.
- Keep the air pressure
on your tires at the proper level (indicated on the tires)
for better mileage and a safer drive.
- Check fluid levels
frequently, especially before taking a long trip.
- Make
sure your spare tire is ready to go if needed.
